The bipolar-head design prevents the electric current from passing through the human body and generates very little heat in the tissues, thus allowing for operating in a low-temperature environment of 40°C-70°C, leading to minimal thermal damage to human tissues, and having the ability of fixed-point tissue cutting and ablation.

Under an electric field (300 kHz), a plasma thin layer with about 100µm thickness is formed around the electrode through the normal saline solution.
