A hemodialyzer is a key device used in hemodialysis treatment, whose main role is to purify the blood by removing waste and excess water from the blood through an artificial semi-permeable membrane. The working principle of the hemodialyzer is based on the action of solute diffusion, osmotic pressure difference and transmembrane pressure. The dialyzer consists of 8,000-12,000 hollow fibers with an inner diameter of about 200 microns. The walls of these hollow fibers are semi-permeable membranes that allow only water and some small molecules to pass through, while blood cells and large molecules cannot. After special treatment, the dialysate does not contain harmful substances to the human body, mainly including
electrolytes, alkali agents and glucose and other components, can be adjusted according to the patient's condition.
